For years, Jessica Moore, has been a practitioner of herbs and natural alternatives for health care mainly for herself and her family. Back in 2002 however, her baby daughter, who had switched from breast milk to solids, developed a chronic diaper rash that wouldn’t heal.
“I remember she used to cry every time we had to change her diaper."
After buying every product on the market to no avail, I went to my kitchen and through much trial and error developed Bonny Bottom Balm. It was so effective, one application at bedtime, brought an end to the pain by morning and all redness was gone within three days of applications. Jessica was so relieved to have eased her baby’s discomfort that she was content. It was only after she resorted to the product over and over to the same glorious results that she realized, “I had something with this.”
She decided to start bottling a few jars at a time and giving to friends and family for their children. The positive feedback poured in. “It was then that I realized that this was my new stay-at-home endeavor. It was a way for me to be an at-home-mother, to help others with herbal alternatives, and to contribute to our household with a career in which I could feel fulfilled.”
So, in her small kitchen in Berwick, Maine, Jessica started the most primitive of production lines, and made her first commercial batch of Bonny Bottom in a quantity of twenty-two 4oz. jars.
The product line has increased to include other ailment-based remedies and the positive feedback has continued to pour in. Back in December of 2004, Moore Naturally outgrew the kitchen and moved into a 600 square foot studio space in the Mill at Salmon Falls in Rollinsford, NH.
“It’s so nice to have everything always set-up, and ready to go, no more lugging up and down the cellar stairs when I need to make product.”
